Today I planted a variety of lettuce called “Black Seeded Simpson.” It will hopefully emerge in 5-10 days, then be ready to eat in 40.
I mixed the entire (expired) packet in with some potting soil and poured it into a small trench in my raised bed. I’m worried that it will grow in clumps though, because I poured the seeds in the jar first, and I fear they did not mix with the soil as evenly as I hoped. D’oh!
